Nurnberg Photography is owned by Paul Nurnberg, a Savannah, GA and Beaufort, SC based professional photographer. Paul specializes in architectural and industrial photography, lifestyle advertising photography, as well as food photography and product photography. Paul has been a professional commercial photographer for over 20 years, after graduating from Rochester Institute of Technology. He is equally at home working in the studio or on location. He has photographed on mountains and swamps, in executive offices, fancy restaurants, large industrial plants, paper mills and in a variety of aircraft.
WELL TRAVELLED LOCATION PHOTOGRAPHER
Paul loves photography on location! By air, land or sea, he goes wherever the assignment requires. From an aircraft cockpit to the kitchen of an internationally known chef, there are few places Nurnberg hasn’t photographed. Whether he is climbing up the pilot’s ladder to board a cargo ship at sea, perched in an aerial lift, leaning from a helicopter (with he and his equipment strapped in safely of course) or barefoot on a sandbar miles from shore; Paul is equipped, prepared and ready to take on any assignment. Nurnberg is home in large industrial facilities and beautiful homes, and all locations in between. Paul and his team frequently visit: Savannah, GA, Hilton Head Island, SC, and Charleston, SC, but will travel anywhere.

Nurnberg Photography has a fully equipped professional photography studio in Beaufort, South Carolina. Studio photography of all types, including model photography, product photography, as well as portraiture sessions can all be accommodated in the studio. Our studio has all the gear necessary to tackle a wide variety of commercial projects. Our space is conducive to creative collaboration. Paul is used to working directly with Art Directors, Designers, as well as any others involved in the photographic project.

Paul’s strength is collaborating with designers, art directors, and other creatives to get the best possible images for the assignment. He’s easy to work with and doesn’t carry a big ego to get in the way of producing great work. He also enjoys shooting editorial, where he gets to be on his own to find the best solutions for the assignments.
COMMITTED TO CRAFT & COMMUNITY
Paul is highly involved in both photographic and local communities. He recently served as the president of the South Carolina chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP/SC), after serving on the board for four years. Paul also served a two year term as national secretary for the American Photographic Artists. A founder of GreenDrinks Beaufort, Paul also volunteers for civic and environmental organizations and was previously the president of the Photography Club of Beaufort. He enjoys teaching others about photography and has taught classes through his studio, the local ARTworks organization, and the Technical College of the Lowcountry.
NORTHERN ORIGINS AND SOUTHERN ROOTS
Paul was born in the mid-west, grew up in Elmira, a small city in upstate New York, and has lived in a variety of places on the east coast, ranging from Boston, MA to Washington, NC, to Savannah, GA. He now lives in Beaufort, South Carolina with his wife and several cats. He likes being outdoors, where he enjoys paddling, biking and hiking. He travels frequently and, of course, makes lots of images while on the go.
